I guess you guys have figured out that this month Billy and I will celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary, and I am just a little bit sentimental about it! Hence, all the Throwback pics of us!
On our 19th Wedding Anniversary, Billy agreed to renew our vows as long as it was just he and I, and the kids in attendance! At the time, he hated large get togethers with lots of people, and I was very content for it to be just us.
My sweet Mama, who made our first elaborate wedding cake with only a small handful in attendance, reluctantly agreed to make our elaborate 19th anniversary cake for just us and the kids. She, laughingly but firmly, stated that she wasn't ever going to make me another wedding/anniversary cake, if we didn't have a public celebration! Lol! That was a lot of cake to make for just twelve people, and besides it was too beautiful not to be seen by crowds. "Well, Mama, I know you're in Heaven now, but crowds will finally see all your hard work and labor of love! Thank you, Mama!"

It was an amazing day! The children (We had 10 at the time.) all pitched in and had parts in the ceremony. They did the decorations, stood in as preacher, singers, flower girls, servers etc..

Here's the entire wedding party! front row: Diana, Greyson, Pamela, and Weston
back row: Cindy, Alex, Josey, myself & Billy, Peggy, Christy, and Katrina

Sharing our punch in typical wedding fashion was a wee bit nerve-racking. Lol! Billy has always leaned to the side of not very coordinated, so we both were a little concerned as to whether the punch would actually make it to our mouths! But it did!

Cutting our beautiful cake was special, but Billy really got into the eating part of it.
Or I should say, into the feeding me cake part of it!
He was forever the clown, and he loves picking on me about as much as he enjoys eating . . . and he loves to eat.

Here he is trying to sweet talk me after the renewal of our vows kiss. No, I'm not sharing the pic of the kiss. You can tell by the look on my face that it was rated not appropriate for children's viewing! His take on the subject was that he had a license! Lol!
But thankfully, most of the children thought it was funny, just like their daddy did!
Thank You, Lord, for our special day!!!
