Faithful Friday / Secret Faults - Part 2

"Cleanse me of my secret faults" (Psalm 19:12) is a prayer that Father will always answer when we turn our hearts towards Him.

Last week I shared about how God began to reveal my secret faults and their roots when I genuinely asked Him to.

He is so FAITHFUL!

I also promised you the rest of the story, so here goes.

Let's look at II Chronicles 29:16, and again I ask you to keep in mind what's in parenthesis is my own personal paraphrase spoken straight to my heart by sweet Holy Spirit. He is the best TEACHER!

"the priests went into the inner part (hidden chambers) of the house (my subconscious , past hurts, scars, problems) of the Lord to cleanse it and brought out (exposed; brought it out into the light) all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the Lord into the court of the house of the Lord (for examination to determine its usefulness and contents; to admit that it is garbage, useless garbage), And the Levites took it, to carry it our abroad (removed it from their presence) into the brook Kidron."

The word Kidron means "dark-colored, dusky place, or to cause to mourn." Our sins, those secret faults stuffed inside our hidden chambers, are dark and ugly and cause us grief also. Any place they are put or allowed to stay will be "Kidron." That is why it is so important to allow Holy Spirit to clean our every "nook and cranny" of our souls, so that we are not being grieved needlessly by these secret faults. My prayer to God became a constant cry of,

"Clean me out, let me see, expose and remove all the uncleanness. I realize this is a dirty job, but it needs doing. Help me please!"

I was desperate, and He heard my cry! He has brought such inner healing to me that now I can live in His Kingdom, remaining peaceful and joyful most of the time. I still stumble and fall occasionally, but those times are the exception and not the rule.

Did I mention that He is FAITHFUL!?!?
