Faithful Friday / "Indecision Is Running"

If God's given you a directive, instructions, or just some promptings, step out in faith and do like Olivia just start walking!

You might drop the pumpkin, but you won't know til you try.

So, many times we make the statement that we are waiting on God. When in reality, Daddy G is waiting on us to put feet on the 'yes' that we have already whispered.

I wrote this poem in January 2019 when I was struggling to do what I knew to do and just obey God! Hope it inspires you to stop running with indecision!

"Indecision Is Running"

Are you willing?

If so, then do it!

Don't sit around looking for a sign

There's things you can go ahead and put your hand to

in preparation for the appointed time.

Don't just stand there ringing your hands

Wondering what the mystery will be

There's plenty of ways to begin to prepare

Your heart and mind for the potentiality!

Don't just stand there ringing your hands

Are you waiting for a lightening bolt?

Another Word from God?

Indecision is really just running while standing still -

Didn't He tell you to prepare,

Then you know that's His will.

Or could it be, that your will is the one in question?

Maybe you're not certain you want to lay it down.

All your flowery speeches of surrender,

Are they falling worthlessly to the ground.

Are you waiting for further instruction?

Before you fully make up your mind?

Do you want to know the whole mystery,

Before with your heart you choose to say yes, or decline?

He's calling you out into the deeper waters How am I walking?

Testing to see if your faith really doesn't have borders. Couldn't let the kids have

Will you faithfully and simply, all the fun!

Just follow His orders?

You may say, "Running? Who me?"

But I tell you the truth, "Indecision IS running!

That only God can see!"
