Faithful Friday / I'm Mad at God!?!?

Oh yeah! That's me! When things don't go as planned (MY way)! When circumstances don't line up on time (on MY schedule)! When bad situations that I don't understand won't go away and even keep getting worse (and life isn't happening according to MY will)! My flesh still screams and has to be crucified! Repeatedly! It's supposed to be dead according to Galations 2:20. (NLT)

"My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. . . "

But alas, there are some days, some situations that arise where I "continue to work out [my] salvation with fear and trembling." Phil. 2:12 (NIV)

Have you ever noticed that you don't get angry til pressure is applied to your life? Whether it be from co-workers, spouse, or children, when the pressure is up, unfortunately, so is our tempers. But something I've learned is that so many times we can be upset with others and take it out on someone else. Have you ever been mad with your spouse and yelled at your kids? Ever been upset because you had a hard day at work and the second your spouse walked through the door, you blasted them with all the day's pent up frustrations? I'll raise my hand first, so you won't feel so much pressure. LOL!

Sure, we all have done those things or something similar. But something that is so RARELY talked about (because good little Christians don't do this) is when we are SECRETLY mad with God, yet we take it out on those around us! Our finances are in the toilet which makes us afraid, and we holler at our spouse. That broken relationship seems hopeless, and even continues to worsen, how can this be happening? My sweet precious child that I nursed at my breast has rejected me, my advice, and worst of all my God. "OUCH! GOD THIS HURTS! Fix it, Lord!" But sometimes the Heavens seem silent, though we have wailed and begged. The days fold into endless weeks and months, and years have slipped by and still there is NO ANSWER! NO RELIEF! What do we do? Unfortunately, way too many times, we blame the blameless - FATHER GOD!

Yes, we become ANGRY with God! We don't tell Him. We don't tell anyone to be honest. If we are even aware of it ourselves (and most times we aren't ), we think it's a secret, but usually we are the only one to whom it's a secret.

GOD KNOWS YOU ARE MAD AT HIM!!!!! (even when you don't realize it yourself!) And you can take it out on your kids, your spouse, your dog, but you won't be free of it til you tell your LOVING DADDY GOD. Whether you've been demanding answers, or results from Heaven's throne room that haven't materialized yet, or objecting to the turn that your life has taken, or even if you've put on your HAPPY Christian mask pretending that all is well. YOU will never be PEACEFUL until you admit that you "FEEL" in your heart that the LORD has let you down. Just be honest with Him! I promise you that He won't be surprised! But just glad that you, His Child, is finally talking to Him about it.

And NO! He's not mad. He just misses you! Your can't have relationship with someone if you don't communicate with them, and He longs for relationship with you. He loves you so much, dear one.

He gets blamed for all kinds of stuff that He doesn't do like this coronavirus. Unfortunately, He's used to it. He's not going to reject you just because you got angry at Him in all your pain. Pain hurts! He knows that. Just take it to Him instead of being offended at Him. Everything in your world might not instantly be righted, but I can tell you this YOU WILL FEEL SO MUCH BETTER JUST TALKING TO HIM ABOUT IT instead of ignoring Him and the problem. Be REAL! Be HONEST! He's so faithful, He's waiting, and HE LOVES YOU!

Sweet restoration blessings to you all.

Love and prayers,

Bonnie
