In 2008, before my first book was published, Refuge Ranch: A Story for His Glory, I had to have a photo shoot, because they needed some professional photos of me. My first professional photo shoot I might add. Totally out of my comfort zone, but it seems that Daddy G is not real interested in my comfort. He's much more concerned with my conformity. Will I obey like Jesus?
So our good friends, Spencer & Shannon Smith of Smith's Studios & Photography in Eastman, GA came to my rescue once again. Spencer has been helping us with our media pics since May of 2000. He does an amazing job. I realize that these pics are a little grainy, but I assure you it's not Spencers fault - these pics are copies from some printed paper pics that I found in my office as I was organizing and rearranging. I have the originals on a CD somewhere just not sure where at the moment.

Since, these inspired me with my blog thought for today, I chose to use them. Please, forgive me Spencer! And the rest of you don't judge his work by the clarity of these pics. He is top-notch professional at all times!
My first book is written as a letter to Father God, so with the pics we were going for the effect of Him being ever-present and always near. Which He is, but sometimes Holy Spirit 'feels' far away and then sometimes . . . He 'feels' as close as your hand!

One of my favorite verses is Psalm 27:4 ,
"Here's the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with Him every moment in His house, finding the sweet loveliness of His face, filled with awe, delighting in His glory and grace.
I want to live my life so close to Him that He takes pleasure in my every prayer."

Sometimes, I live in that place by FAITH ALONE!
I CAN'T really see Him or what He's doing in my life for all the raging winds and waves of the storms that the enemy has sent to destroy me.
It's in those times that I cling to His PRECIOUS PROMISES in His Word, and know that He can't lie . . .
so He IS with me and He DOES hear my prayers.
What I'm trying to say is that I'm human.
Sometimes I don't see HIM . . .

But sometimes I DO!
Truly, He is with me!
And dear friend, He is with you, too! You might can't see Him with your natural eyes. You can't see the air that goes into your lungs, but you know & believe it's real.
So, is Sweet JESUS, and He's with you!
