Faithful Friday / Father's Majestic Love

Looking at these ginormous thunderhead clouds remind me of the majesty of our Faithful Father.

As they get closer, they become more and more intimidating. A lot of people feel that way about Daddy G (my pet name for Father God). But if our relationship with Him is as it should be, if we see Him as our loving Father, we will run into His loving arms, not away from Him - even and especially if we have

messed up or missed the mark.

How does it make you feel when your child comes running to you all tearful and repentant for some wrong word or deed? Melts your heart doesn't it? Well, Father's love is far bigger, deeper, wider, more all encompassing than any human love that we can possibly feel.

HE LOVES YOU!

I don't know who needs to hear this today, but you are His Beloved Child. He ADORES YOU!

Oh dear friends, don't be intimidated by His majestic closeness! There is not a hair on your head that He has not numbered. There's not a deed or a thought that you have done or had that shocks Him. He loves you in spite of all those things.

Oh turn around, and run into His loving arms. You will only find peace there. He doesn't condemn or shame His dear children when they return to Him. Have you never read the story of the prodigal son? Check it out. It's in Luke 15: 11-32.

To me they named it wrong . . . it should be called the Loving Father. It so perfectly depicts His heart.

Please, do like the son in this story and COME HOME! Our dear FAITHFUL FATHER ALLOWS
